First Time Offender Program |
The First Time Offender Program is a 14-hour educational course designed for youth who have committed a first-time misdemeanor or non-violent felony. The mission of the First Time Offender Program is to provide prevention and diversion services, which are designed to enhance a youth’s capacity to resolve conflicts positively; to understand individual responsibility, behavior, and consequences; and to make decisions which allow them to remain in their communities.
RequirementsIn order to successfully complete the First Time Offender Program, the youth and a parent must attend all scheduled classes together and complete homework as assigned.
